After motorbikes, the demand for powerful models is also increasing in the world of scooters. Now, scooters with powerful engines and great designs come at high prices. Therefore, Indian companies are also taking a different route by launching such scooters to capture the market. Hero MotoCorp, mainly known for its commuter bikes, also introduced its first 160cc scooter, the Xoom 160, at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) in Italy yesterday. Considering its looks, it would be more appropriate to call it an adventure scooter rather than a maxi scooter.
Hero Zoom 160 Maxi Scooter Launched The 156cc liquid-cooled
engine was used on the Hero Zoom 160 scooter. This is different from the engine that powers the Xtreme 160R 4V . The engine will produce 14 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 13.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This is considered enough for the AOT maxi scooter.However, Hero has not yet revealed the full specifications of the model.
Among the notable features of the Hero Zoom 160 is Hero's i3S (Idle Silent Start Stop System) technology. The car is equipped with 14-inch block tires, keyless start, remote seat opening and smart search feature. The scooter's design is similar to the Honda X-ADV, which is currently available in many countries in Europe and Asia.
Hero Zoom 160 weighs 141 kg.The long, sleek front apron features an Adventure-style design, dual-chamber LED headlights and a tall windshield. The result is very attractive. Additionally, telescopic forks have been provided at the front and a monoshock at the rear for shock absorption.The design of the rear of the car is angular. LED taillights, a digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation are also available.Hero's maxi scooter is expected to launch in the Indian market in the first half of 2024.
